The town of Shawnee-on-Delaware is an idyllic, picturesque town located in Pennsylvania approximately 60 miles (100 km) outside of New York City (an easy trip into the city for day excursions). The town is located alongside the Delaware River, as a part of the Delaware Water Gap - a US National Park which retains its wild, rugged outdoor beauty. The Delaware River is one of the only unspoiled, undammed rivers in the northeast US.
